Brent Alan Dollarhide, age 45, died unexpectedly on July 2, 2023. Brent was born to Patricia and Dennis Dollarhide on December 11, 1977 in Lakeview, OR. He was a Putnam City West graduate in the class of 1996. Over the years Brent built his career in the food and bar industry and later as a commercial plumber at Matthew’s Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Leigh Teachout of Mustang; his daughters, Maddie Dollarhide and Morgan Dollarhide; his mother, Patricia “Patti” Griffin; his stepfather, Jim Griffin; his stepson, Kyler Teachout; his brother, Jimmy Griffin; and numerous family and friends.
Brent was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Dollarhide; paternal grandparents, Ken and Dee Dollarhide; maternal grandparents, Patsy Bagwell and Ralph “Smokey” Merino; and his uncles, Butch Merino and Kendell Ayers.
Anyone fortunate enough to have met Brent never forgot him. Brent’s gift with others, his radiant smile, his infectious laugh, his tender heart, and his compassion enabled him to make friends with everyone he met. His sarcastic sense of humor lent to the charm that was uniquely and genuinely Brent. He was a San Francisco 49ers and OSU Cowboys fan down to his soul and an avid collector of sports memorabilia. As a former wrestler, Brent loved watching OSU wrestling as it brought back memories of his own days on the mat. He also enjoyed cooking, reading, spending time with his family and friends, and people watching. His favorite holiday was Halloween, and it was on Halloween that Brent and Jennifer had their first date—passing out Halloween candy—and then married on Halloween of 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Williams Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Bill Kalfas will officiate.
