The services celebrating and honoring the life of Phyllis Dodds, 82, of Enid, will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday April 18, 2022, in the St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor David Reber officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born August 24, 1939, to Harry and Letha “Fern” Paulson in Yankton South Dakota. She was raised and educated in Yankton where se graduated from Yankton High School in 1957. She attended Brooking State before starting her lifelong career in the medical industry. She married Willard Willis October 1, 1960, in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Yankton from this union came three children. The couple moved to Yreka, California before moving to Enid in 1969 where the couple made their home.
Phyllis married Robert Dodds in 1988. The couple made their home in North Bend Pennsylvania.
Phyllis returned to Enid in 1990 and worked as a private home health care provider until 2007. She worked in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years.
She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the Levi’s and lace square dancers club from 1986 until 2010.
She is survived by one daughter Rita Nephew and her husband David of Burbank, Oklahoma; one son Steve Willis, of Enid, five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; and one sister Lois Kezar and husband Eden, of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Scot Willis, both of her husbands, and brother Eldean Paulson and three granddaughters.
Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
