Christine “Rita” Dobson was born October 1st, 1942 at Kern County Hospital in Bakersfield, CA to Charles Head and Ann McHone and passed away on September 26th, 2020 at the age of 78. She was a resident of the Watonga community for 19 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was married to Arlon Dobson on July 27th, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ann McHone and father Charles Head; daughter, Valerie Ann Pope; twin sister, Justine “Nita” Fryer, and sister Gloria Kirker.
Christine is survived by husband Arlon of Watonga, OK; sister, Betty Ryan of Texas, and brother-in-law Bill Kirker of Bakersfield, CA. Her children, Kenny Pope and Lisa of Watonga, OK; Joe Pope of Del City, OK; Kirk Pope of Watonga, OK; Katie and Chad Fondren of Seiling; Jennifer and John West of Albuquerque, NM; Nancy Dobson of Bakersfield, CA; Mike and Laura Dobson of Bakersfield, CA. Grandchildren, Amber and Trey Butler of Watonga, OK; Kenneth Pope of Colorado; Cassie and Blake Wallace of Seiling, OK; R.J. and Christina Branchcomb of Moore, OK; Rebecca Stine and Jeremy of Watonga, OK; Robert Branchcomb and Naomi of El Reno, OK; Brittany and Matt Goff of Watonga, OK; David and April Branchcomb of OKC, OK; Troy and Shawnda Branchcomb of Tulsa, OK; Cheyenne and Ariel Salamanca of Albuquerque NM; Justin West of Albuquerque, NM; Ian Cooper and Jasmine of Seiling, OK; Dianna Todd and Colten of Alva, OK; Sheila Beck of Watonga, OK; Preston Burns of Bakersfield, CA; Kennedy Wilson of Bakersfield, CA. 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, Bentley Foster. As well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Christine Dobson will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Legion Building on Noble Avenue in Watonga, OK with Pastor Kason Oakes officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Arlon Dobson.
Christine was a sassy, fun, loving woman who brought joy and laughter anywhere she was and will be greatly missed.
