Kathy Jean Dinse of Porum, OK gained her angel wings at her home Tuesday February 21, 2023, at the age of 63. Kathy was born in Oklahoma City, OK on September 12, 1959. She was the daughter of Phyllis and Kenneth Bay. Kathy had a very special relationship with her paternal grandmother, Erma Bay whom she spent most of her time with growing up.
Kathy received a JR High education but that didn’t stop her from running a successful business for 32 years. She acquired Ideal Mailing at the age of 28 with her husband Alan Dinse, they ran the business until December of 2020 when they decided it was time to retire at Lake Eufaula.
Kathy never met a stranger and lit up the room when she walked in. She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She had an immense love for all. She loved her family, pets, and friends, and they loved her.
Kathy was blessed with many talents. She could be found water skiing, fishing, gardening, painting, or redecorating a part of her home. She was also very lucky, whether it was winning at a Casino or never receiving a speeding ticket. It was once said, “Well behaved women rarely make history” and that is no exception for Kathy Jean.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Alan Dinse, her children, Billy Foust, Dusty Foust, and Jamie Tice (her husband Josh Tice) and 3 grandchildren Blake Shelton, Riley Tice, and Jarrett Tice.
The family appreciates the love and outreach that has been shown. Kathy was all about giving back, family are asking for a monetary donation to put towards a Scholarship in her name. Donations can be made to Jamie Tice with winner recipient to be announced.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Route 66 Interpretive Center in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
