Jerome Roscoe Dimmitt was born on May 14, 1958 to Loren & Merle (Foster) Dimmit at Sublette, Kansas the youngest of nine siblings. The family made their home in Sublette, Kansas. Jerome graduated from Sublette High School with the class of 1976. After graduation he went to work for a custom cutter following the harvest and later in Garden City doing cement pouring and finishing.
