Dorothy Dilsaver

Dorothy Dilsaver, 84, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Walt Ellis, pastor of Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Dilsaver was born and raised in Okmulgee, Okla. She married D.C. "Dill" Dilsaver in 1937 in Borger. He passed away in 1988. She was a resident of Amarillo for more than 60 years.

She was a clerk at Fedway Department Store and was a professional doll maker for many years. She was a longtime member of Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Hawkins of Amarillo and Pat Stidd of Lake Meridith Harbor; a son, David Dilsaver of Canfield, Ohio; two sisters, Jan Carr of Amarillo and Jennie Hopper of San Angelo; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1021 N. Apache, Amarillo, TX 79107.
