Maxine Miller (Burkhart) Dillinger


Dec. 30, 1919 ~ March 30, 2009

Enid, OK - The graveside service for Maxine Miller Dillinger, 89, will be 1 p.m. today in South Mound Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, South Mound, Kan. The Rev. Debi Lorenz will officiate. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1919, northwest of Quinlan to Scott and Marie Burkhart and died Monday, March 30, 2009, in Enid.

She attended Silver Springs and Freedom schools.

She married Carl Dillinger Aug. 29, 1939, in Erie, Kan. They made their home in Kansas, later moving to the Freedom area. She was a homemaker and participated in P.T.A. They later retired to Bella Vista, Ark., where she was a member of Bella Vista Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Carl, of the home; two daughters, Carlene Ali and Jo Ann Johnson, both of Enid; three sisters, Lois Rodell of Sand Springs, Ruby Ricks of Washington, Ind., and Verda Gantz of Mooreland; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by twin infant sons, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimers division.
