Graveside services for Winnie Louise “Lou” Dillard, 82, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21 in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with Rev. Ben Willingham officiating.
Born September 10, 1930 in Sivells Bend, Texas, the daughter of Rufus and Winnie Lynch, she died Monday, November 19, 2012 in Muenster, Texas.
Mrs. Dillard married William Eugene “Bill” Dillard on July 30, 1950 in Gainesville. She taught the third and fifth grades and retired from Gainesville Independent School District. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, but above all, cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Eldon Lynch.
She is survived by her son, Mark Dillard and wife, Aleta of Marietta; a daughter, Cindy Fry and husband, Greg of Gainesville; a granddaughter, Shelley Andrews and husband, John of Milburn; a grandson, Tyler Schneider and wife, Jessica of San Marcos, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Chelby and Creek; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
