CLEO SPRINGS, Okla. - Funeral service for Frances Dietz will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Cleo Springs First Christian Church with Pastor Roy Wahlgren officiating. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. (www.lanmanmemorials.com)

Frances Irene Dietz, the daughter of Grace Blue Cox and Archibald Cox, was born Nov. 8, 1919, in the Ringwood area. Frances died at her home in Cleo Springs at the age of 96. Frances went to Ringwood School through the fourth grade. Then she and her family moved to Cleo Springs, where she started fifth grade. Frances graduated at the age of 16 from Cleo Springs High School.

When Floyd and Frances were dating, they loved to dance at the Wilcox Shade Dance Hall. On Jan. 12, 1938, Frances and Floyd Dietz were married by the Judge in Enid. Floyd's Mother and Frances' Mother were all that went with them to get married, because that is all they could fit into the car. Floyd and Frances had two sons, Mickey and Neilan. Frances raised her family on the farm northwest of Cleo Springs. She was a stay-at-home mom and helped Floyd on the farm. Frances was a very active member of the Cleo Christian Church. She served as deaconess for many years. Frances babysat grandchildren and great grandchildren and was the best grandma ever. Frances went to meet her Lord and Savior and Floyd on Nov. 19, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; daughter-in-law, Marilyn; one grandson, Michael and five brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Mickey Dietz and wife, Carolyn and Neilan Dietz; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the church through the funeral home.
