Beverly May Diercks was born on Saturday, March 11, 1933. She took the hand of Jesus and he led her to her new mansion on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. She is now perfect and reunited with Bob.
She was born to Vern and Vinita Wakeman in Taloga, Oklahoma. She had a little brother Deryl, whom she loved dearly and argued with often. They moved to Dodge City, KS and then back to the family home south of the JV Flats in Lenora, OK, where she lived with four generations until she went to college.
In June 1949, she went on her first date with the love of her life, Bob Diercks. They were married on June 1, 1953 in her family home. They were married 61 years before Bob passed in 2014. From that union, 3 daughters were born, Peggy, LeaAnn, and Charlotte. They gave her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the best Mom, Grandma, and MeMe any one of them could have ever asked for.
She left Southwestern Oklahoma State University to marry Bob and be a military wife. After he left the Air Force, they settled in Seiling, Oklahoma. When all her girls were in school, she went back to college and graduated with a Bachelor�s in Education and began her long career teaching every elementary grade during that time. Many children learned under her stern teaching and watchful eye.
She was an avid reader and sports fan, especially basketball. She had a love for music and got her beautiful singing voice from her Dad. When she sang in public, people turned their heads to see who had that amazing voice. She passed down her love of music to her children and grandchildren. Beverly was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seiling where she enjoyed singing and working with children.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Bob Diercks; her parents, her brother Deryl Wakeman,her grandson-in-law Bryan Ruberstell and great granddaughter Emmie Mae Grace Ruberstell.
She is survived by her daughters Peggy Cooper, husband Buddy and their daughter Carson of Mooreland, OK. LeaAnn Nowlin, her husband Johnny and their daughters, Alicia Rempe, her husband Jason and children Blaine Nauman and Landon Rempe and Lacey Ruberstell and her children Dant� and Trinity, all of Kingfisher. Charlotte Creason, husband Jody and children Joe and Rachel of Tyler, TX. Sister-in-Law, Coleen Wakeman of Norman, OK and cousin, Gary Bowser of Woodward and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Memorial Donations may be made in Beverly's honor to the Seiling Public Library with the funeral home serving ascustodian for the funds.
