Johnny Drew Dial, 75, of Blanchard, died February 27, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma. The son of Earl McBride and Bessie Mae (Koger) Dial, he was born December 29, 1937 in Chowchilla, California.
He grew up in California and graduated from Helix High School and was employed in maintenance and security for resorts in Arizona. Johnny was a Southern Baptist in faith. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed panning for gold, hiking and exploring the desert.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lee Roy Dial and Jim Dial; and sister, Wanda Sue Dial Mayer.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Carmen Maxey-Dial of Blanchard and her family; his son, Johnny Richard Norman of Mississippi and his family; his daughters, Julie Norman of Texas and her family and Ashley Orr of Florida and her family; his sister, Madella White of Missouri and her family; his brother, Harold Dial of California and his family; his sisters-in-law, Joan Dial of Iowa and Betty Dial of California and their families; brother-in-law, George Mayer of California and his family; his aunt, Dorothy Williams of Arizona and her family; and many other relatives, coworkers, and friends.
