Edward William Devonshire, 56, of OKC, joined his Lord and Savior Jesus in Heaven on July 3, 2017. He was born on September 9, 1960 in Zaragoza, Spain. Ed graduated from Carl Albert High School in 1978 after, which, he joined the Air Force, spending six years on active duty as a member of the K.I. Sawyer AFB Law Enforcement/Security Police in Michigan. Upon leaving the Air Force, Ed held various jobs until he joined Southwest Airlines at the OKC Call Center, where he advanced to a supervisory position. Ed also worked for Dell Computers in OKC. 'Chef Ed', as he was known by his close friends, was an avid OU football fan and spent numerous gameday Saturdays cooking BBQ for 'The Swarm' in Norman.
Ed is survived by his parents, Bob & Kathy Devonshire of Mustang; sister, Debi Wyett & husband Jack of Sacramento; brothers, Bob & his wife Debbie of OKC, Tom & his wife Elena of OKC, and Mike & his wife Wendy of OKC; 4 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great nephews and 5 great nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends at 10:30am on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Clark Memorial United Methodist Church, 5808 NW 23rd St. in Oklahoma City.
