Mary Elaine Devin, 77, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Ravia, Oklahoma. She was born on September 18, 1946, in Essex, Maryland to the late Edward Earl Acree and Ruby May Geesey Acree. Elaine was raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she attended school.
She married Joseph Ferrell Devin on June 6, 1971, in Baltimore and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2019. In 1972 they moved to Powell, Oklahoma where she lived the rest of her life. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Elaine also loved to read, play cards and garden. She was known for her impeccable handwriting, and she also enjoyed painting and all kinds of music. Her greatest love was her grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by Children: Thomas Ahl and wife Dany, Houston, Texas,
Paul Devin, Powell, Oklahoma, Karen Khan and husband Mohammad, Lake Charles,
Louisiana, Stephanie Raper and husband Johnny, Ravia, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren: David, Kevin, Josh, Amanda, Joe, Laura, Cassidy, Taryn,
Kolbi, Harlee, Quin, Neely, Hinnah, Jasper, Acree, Ashlynne, Austin,
Preston, Daniel, Jessica, Liam, Trevor, Justice and Zane. 38 Great
Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Brother: Tom Acree and wife
Bonnie, Jarrettsville, Maryland, Glenn Acree and wife Lisa, Lexington,
Kentucky, Chuck Acree and wife Kim, Bastrop, Texas.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Robert Acree, sister; Bonnie Kissner, stepsons; Joe Devin, Jr., Mark Devin, granddaughter; Taylor Philips and Great Grandchild; Mason Devin.
Memorials may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Memorial service will be 10:00 am Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Officiated by Jason Smith. Music arranged by Neely Khan and Dany Ahl. Service will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
