The Funeral Services For Delana Rea Devin, 53 of Ruidoso NM,Formerly of Enid will be Friday September the 31st, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shannon Morgan officiating,Cremation will follow under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

On April 8, 1959 Delana Rae (Garner) Devin arrived in the world at the naval airbase in Milton, Florida; while her father served our country in the Navy. Lana was the third daughter born to Shelton and Christine (Dunaway) Garner. She died August 27,2012 in Ruidoso,New Mexico.

After her father's tour of duty, the family went back to their hometown of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where Lana attended public school. Lana also educated herself at the local Northeastern State University where she was active in many social organizations and was a Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority sister. Later, she went on to complete her undergraduate and master's degreeat Southwestern University.

She was a counselor by trade. Lana married and had four children. Then after the dissolution of the marriage, made her home in Enid, Oklahoma. After her children were grown, Lana relocated to Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Lana loved to travel, loved being outdoors and was a friend to all who knew her. She was a free-spirited, had a quick smile and easily associated with people of all walks of life, a great attribute in her chosen field.

She was preceded in death by her father, Shelton Hayes Garner; her mother, Christine D. Garner; infant sister, Memory Mae Garner; her sister, Shelly F. Garner; her nephew, Derek Shelton Beach; and an infant son, Chad Devin.

Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren: Danielle and her sons, Dylan and Rylan Kitchen; Allen Devin and daughters Chloe, Baylee and son, Madrox. Brittany Devin and her sons, Tommy and Tyrus Sutton; and, Brianna and soon-to-arrive daughter, Christine Rae Callaway.

Her love of lifeand bright spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
