Marion (Billy) Derr, known as Bill M. Derr to friends and family, passed away on Monday, September 23rd in Bartlesville due to heart complications. Bill was born on November 23rd, 1936 in Granite, Oklahoma, the son of Elbert "Butch" and Nell Smith-Derr. He graduated from Mangum High School in 1954 and later served in the Oklahoma National Guard as well as the Army Reserves. After a long career in the Texas Panhandle, he relocated to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 2005.
Bill ran several businesses during his life, including a grocery store in Lubbock, Texas, several auto dealerships in Pampa, Texas and a transportation company in Bartlesville, which he managed until his death. He was a member of Marry Ellen Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa, the Pampa Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Pride of Pampa Band Boosters. Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit and faith in a better tomorrow.
Bill is survived by his son Randy L. Derr and daughter-in-law Jeanne Derr, currently on assignment in Saudi Arabia, as well as his son B. Kent Derr and daughter-in-law Carol A. Derr of Owasso. Bill is also survived by four grandchildren, Erik Derr of Chicago, Illinois, Jennifer Derr of Wichita, Kansas, along with James (Ryan) Derr and Joshua Dalton Derr, both of Owasso.

for the immediate family in
Pampa. The family asks all
