Bruce Murray Denton

Bruce Murray Denton
June 27th, 1936 - September 5th, 2016

Denton, Bruce Murray, passed away peacefully at home on September 5th, 2016. He was born on June 27th, 1936, in Enid, OK.

He attended the University of Tulsa and Georgetown University.

Bruce enjoyed sand-court volleyball, spending time in the Rocky Mountains, riding horses on the ranch, and most of all, spending time with his family. Bruce had a witty sense of humor and found great satisfaction helping others his entire life. He was also a very passionate writer of poetry and fiction who self-published several pieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Denton, and his brother, Wayne Denton.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Denton; four children, Grant Denton (Sheryl), Patrick Denton (Lauren), Tracy Lee, and Shane Gaston (Josh); eleven grandchildren, Oliver Denton, Sabine Denton, August Denton, Phoebe Denton, Samantha Denton, Dalton McNaughton, Jake McNaughton, Josh Hollinsworth, Jake Hollinsworth, Aidan Gaston, and Jackson Gaston; and one greatgrandchild, Julian McNaughton.

A celebration of his life will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK., 74601 Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
