Wanda Lee Delaney age 76 of Purcell passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 24, 2018. She was born February 1, 1942 in Oklahoma City. She was the oldest of two children born to William and Wanda Powell.
Wanda grew up in South Oklahoma City and graduated from U. S. Grant High School with the class of 1960. While in high school she was a cheer leader, basketball player and homecoming queen. In 1961, she married Jimmy Max Ferren and together they raised one daughter, Wendy. For many years Wanda worked with her husband Jimmy establishing plasma donation centers all across the U. S. They lived in various states including, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, New Mexico and Florida. After returning to Oklahoma City in the late 70's, Wanda owned and operated her own bakery business called Honey Bear Donuts on South Shields Ave.
In 1994, Wanda married Stanley James Delaney and they made their home in Lexington and later Purcell. Wanda loved staying busy and for many years she worked for Delta Head Start.
Throughout her life, she had many hobbies including competitive archery, bowling, golfing, working in her yard and remolding every home she ever lived in. She also enjoyed art and painting. She attended Grace Chapel in Lexington and was a past board member at the Purcell Senior Citizens Center. Wanda loved living close to her daughter, Wendy and adored her grandchildren, Max and Lynn. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Husband, Stanley Delaney; Wendy's father and Wanda's friend, Jimmy Ferren;
Son-in-law, Dennis Trent;
Brother-in-law, Junior and Loretta Delaney;
Mother-in-law, Pearl and James Delaney;
She is survived by:
Daughter, Wendy Trent and Rick Clark of Purcell;
Two grandchildren, Max Terrell and Lynn Terrell;
One brother, Bill Powell and wife Holly of Apache, OK;
Two brothers-in-law, Bob Delaney and wife Shelly of Lexington; Othel Delaney and wife Alma of Maysville; Two Sister-in-laws, Sherry Todd and husband David of Dallas, TX and Dawn Machalinski and husband Richard of Blanchard;
Several nieces and nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Chapel in Lexington or to the Purcell Senior Citizens Center.
