Delaney, Dolores E., 83, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born July 21, 1929 in Queens, New York to Lester and Catherine (Clarke) Campbell.
Dolores was in the administrative department at Camden County Votech in New Jersey before retiring. Dolores enjoyed raising birds, crossword puzzles and making clothes for kids. In her earlier years, she was the den mother for her sons. One of the highlights of her life was when she met Eleanor Roosevelt.
Dolores is survived by four sons, Patrick Delaney of Midwest City, Timothy Delaney and wife Jeanine of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Michael Delaney of Little Axe and Joseph Delaney and wife Ginny of Burkley, CA; two daughters, Elizabeth Delaney of Baton Rouge, LA and Dolores Gunter and husband James of Norman; and ten grandchildren; one brother, Roger Campbell and wife Shelly of Roanoke, VA.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, George Delaney; and brothers, Bob and Lester
Campbell.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January
22, 2013 at St. Thomas More University Parish, 100 E. Stinson, Norman.
Arrangements for Dolores and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
