Kathy L. Deissroth, 68-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Friday evening, October 4, 2024, at the Heartsworth Nursing Center in Vinita. She was born on September 3, 1956, in Salinas, California to Paul and Dee (Norman) Sutton. Kathy worked as a barber/hairdresser at Super Cuts. She married Gil Deissroth on May 13, 1989, in Gold Beach, Oregon. They moved to Northeast Oklahoma in 2005, from Pine Grove, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a stepdaughter, Julia Bennett.

The family includes her husband Gil Deissroth of Vinita, stepson Kevin Deissroth of Miami, grandchildren, Holly DeShazer, Gil, Sheree, and James Deissroth, great grandchildren, Stacy, and Ethan DeShazer.

Private services will be held later. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally owned and operated funeral home.”
