Carol Ann passed away on October 4, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 83. Born in New York, NY and raised in Tenafly, NJ, she moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1955 with her family and attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. She met and married her husband, Robert, in Santa Barbara, CA in 1967. Predeceased by her husband in 1981 after 13 years of marriage and her son, James A. Balzanto, in 2016, she is survived by her beloved sister, Gail M. Williams, eight cherished grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She will be remembered by her children, Kristen D. Barone (John), Robyn E. Alazraqui (Edward), and Alan R. DeHerder (Bree), as a devoted servant of the Lord, dedicated to instilling faith in Jesus in the hearts of all her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 7th at 2:00pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3600 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Carol Ann in memory, her family asks for donations to be directed to UCSF’s Center for BRCA Research at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute, or the Hospice Foundation of America.
