Jo Anna (Russell) DeArmon
July 29, 1936 ~ March 3, 2015 (age 78)

Jo Anna Russell DeArmon, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on March 3, 2015.  She was born on July 29, 1936 in Picher, Oklahoma.  She passed away at the age of 78.  

Her family moved to Miami, Oklahoma where she graduated from High School.  She then attended the University of Oklahoma in 1956.  She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.  While attending the University of Oklahoma she met the love of her life Jack DeArmon.  They were married April 5, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma.  They then lived in Oklahoma City for 10 years before moving to Norman.  Jack and Jo Anna were married for 52 years.  Jack and Jo Anna bought Cleveland County Abstract Company in 1967.  Cleveland County Abstract Company is still family owned and operated to this day.  After the passing of her husband Jack, Jo Anna became the CEO of the company.  Jo Anna was a member of the Junior League of Norman, The Assistance League of Norman, member of the Trails Ladies Golf Association, and a member of McFarlin United Methodist Church, in Norman.  Jo Anna enjoyed playing golf and traveling.  She resided in Naples, Florida when she wasn’t in Norman, Oklahoma.  

She enjoyed spending time with her family.  Jack and Jo Anna have six children: Sherri DeArmon of Norman, Mike and Shari DeArmon of Springfield, Missouri, Todd DeArmon of Edmond, Oklahoma, Jack and Angela DeArmon of Norman, Oklahoma, Michelle DeArmon of Norman, Oklahoma, and James Dru DeArmon of Dallas, Texas who preceded her in death; Jack and Jo Anna have nine grandchildren: Michael, Sheridan, and Allie Jones, of Norman, Samantha and Nicholas DeArmon of Springfield, Missouri, Jordan and Alexis DeArmon of Norman, Emma and Jack Bucholz of Norman.  She has one great grandchild McKinley Faith Jones, and brother Dr. Jim Russell, of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Richard Russell and mother, Henrietta Russell of Miami, Oklahoma; and brother, Dr. Richard Russell of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and her son James Dru DeArmon of Dallas, Texas.
