Patricia E. Dean, age 74 of Lexington, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2013. Patricia was born August 16, 1938 in Purcell, OK, the oldest of 3 children born to James William Walker and Myrtle Beatrice (Roath) Walker.

She grew up in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating in 1956. While in high school, Patricia was a standout basketball player. Patricia married Samuel T. Dean on June 22, 1956 in Purcell. They made their home in Purcell where together they raised their son, Monte. Patricia worked tirelessly as an advocate for abused woman. She volunteered many hours and found great joy in aiding and assisting women who were victims of abandonment and abuse. Her greatest joy, however, was being a stay at home wife and mother. She was a great cook and she loved caring and providing for Sam and Monte. For the last 30 years, Sam and Patricia have called Lexington home. Patricia loved living in the country. She loved her dogs and she loved helping Sam raise goats. Patricia was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, James & Myrtle Walker and � brother, Paul Walker.

Patricia leaves behind: Her husband, Sam Dean of the home; Her son, Monte Dean of Lexington; Her sister, Karen Wigley of Purcell; Her brother, Duane Walker and wife Aline of Purcell; 3 nieces, Lori Taylor, Heather Brady and Michelle Moore, all of Purcell; 2 nephews, Clint Walker of Purcell and Sam Hall of CO; And a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Wilson-Little Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lexington Nursing Home in tribute to the employees.
