Gary Wayne Dawson, 59 year old Wyandotte resident, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Gary was born in Tulsa, OK on January 27, 1961 to Denzel and Evelyn Dawson.
Gary loved driving his semi-truck. He’s worked the past 11 years hauling for Simmons Foods. On July 22, 2017 he was united in marriage to Peggy Burleson. He also enjoyed camping, watching sports, watching his grandchildren play sports, westerns, the Christian Channel, and some good ole porch sitting.
Survivors include his loving wife Peggy of the home, his mother Evelyn Wilber of Tulsa, daughter Sunny Dawson of Tulsa, son Ben Dawson of Tulsa, step children: Brad Austin of Wyandotte, Justin Austin and wife Jessica of Wyandotte, and Billy Lasley of Wyandotte, one brother Dave Dawson and wife Dee of Tulsa, sister Lisa Broadrick of Skiatook, 6 grandchildren: Hailey Lasley, Kyleigh Lasley, Hannah Austin, Dayton Lasley, Jonah Redden, and Haden Austin, one great granddaughter Kenzlee Wilhite, his loving dog Benji and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his father Denzel Dawson and siblings: Rhonda Dawson, Susan Dawson, and Keith Dawson.
