Jimmy Dale Davison, 68, of Tuttle, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his home in Tuttle, Oklahoma. The son of Wilborn Rephord “WR” Davison and Doris Arlene (Smith) Dobbs, he was born on May 18, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jimmy married the love of his life, Debra Ann Chapman, on October 20, 1973, in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He loved spending time with his family and was especially proud to be a grandfather. Jimmy adored his grandkids. In his life, Jimmy was a lover of football, particularly OU football, golfing, and fishing. He was also very proud to be an ordained minister. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, WR Davison and Doris Dobbs, and one brother, Reford Davison.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Debra Ann (Chapman) Davison of Tuttle; one son, John Davison and his wife, Sarah, of Tuttle; one daughter, Melissa Long and her husband, Chris, of Tuttle; one sister, Anna Jean Autry of Norman; six grandchildren, Elanore Diaz, Mollie Ledbetter, Jake Long, Chloe Davison, Annie Davison, and Aiden “Wild Bill” Long; several nieces and nephews; and many more loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the New Testament Baptist Church in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard, Oklahoma. Online obituary and guestbook will be available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
