Wanda was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma and moved with her family to Bakersfield in 1939. Wanda retired from the Dept. of Human Services as a Welfare Supervisor in 1992.
She has enjoyed the companionship of her beloved poodles, Brandy and Cissey and her nephew and niece, Don Franks and Kerrie Ann Camacho. Wanda is known to all as "Aunt Wanda." If anyone needed anything Aunt Wanda was always there, no matter what you needed. She was a free spirit and lived life on her own terms. Wanda has generously touched the lives of her friends and family. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Herrick and her beloved nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her husband, Guy Davis; brothers, Harold and Charles; sisters, Dolly and Geneva and her Big Mom and Big Dad.
At her request there will be no memorial services and she will be inurned at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield, CA. If you wish to memoralize Aunt Wanda, please make a donation in her name to the American Lung Association.
