Word has been received of the death of McKenzie Leeann Davis, 3-1/2 days.
She passed peacefully in her parents' arms, surrounded by family and friends, Wednesday, October 11th, 2017, in Oklahoma City.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, at 2:00 P.M. at the Prairie Hill Church of Christ, with Mario Pineda officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home, Duncan.
She was born more than 10 weeks early on Saturday, October 7, 2017. She weighed only 2 pounds, 1.5 ounces. She gripped your finger and held on as she comforted your heart and soul. She had soft dark hair and slender, long fingers -- just like her father. A nose like her YaYa. Beautiful lips, loving eyes, and the fighting spirit -- just like her mother. She had spunk, determination and was an inspiration to us all. Her love and memory will live inside us for eternity.
Just more than 3-1/2 days after coming into the world, our beautiful McKenzie became an angel. It was truly a blessing to have spent what little time we were given with her. She touched so many lives and was deeply loved by all who met her.
Survivors include her parents, Melissa Vanderburg and Brandon Davis; an older brother, Valdez Vanderburg; her Yaya and Papa, Pam and Sam Vanderburg; her grandparents, Laura and Henry Kluth and Dennis and Deanna Davis; her great-mooma, Stella Davis; her great-grandparents, Don and Linda Lewis and Tom and Sylvia Bevington; and great-great-grandmother, Marie Pollan.
