Martin Eugene Davis

Martin Eugene Davis
July 1, 1954 ~ January 19, 2009

Martin Eugene Davis the child of Arnola and Booker Davis was born on July 1, 1954. After the untimely death of his mother he was adopted and raised by Rachel and Phillip Turner (his mother's sister and her husband), whom he referred to as Mom and Dad. From a young man through adulthood Martin lived a life full of determination, hard work, and zeal to achieve more.

Martin was known by many, and always greeted everyone he met with humor. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need and he would not hesitate to give his very last to meet the needs of others. Martin dreamed big and out loud. He influenced others to never stop dreaming through a hope that never died.

Martins loving, caring, and compassionate heart made it easy to love him and hard to forget him. His passions in life were playing the guitar, singing, fishing, and cooking a variety of foods (best known for his Bar-B-Q). He lived a very humble life surrounding himself with family, friends, laughter, and love.

His is preceded in death by his parents, uncle (Dad) and aunt (Mom), grandparents Elder Lee Jones and Mary Lee Jones; Giles Davis and Winnie Davis; a brother Raymond Turner, and Gaynell Terrell Turner. He leaves to continue in his legacy 3 daughters, Nina Minnis of Tulsa, Melody Garren (Michael, Sr.), Denver, CO, Vanessa Fulcher (Rashawn), Sacramento, CA and a son, Scorpio Davis of Denver, CO; 7 grandchildren, Davontae Traylor (12 yrs), Damacio Traylor (8 yrs), Michael Garren, Jr. (5 yrs), Mactavious Garren (4 yrs), Dayonna Fulcher (9 yrs), Serenity Fulcher ( 6 yrs), Yeala Fulcher (4 yrs); six sisters, Carmella Davis of Plano, TX, Delores Turner of Oklahoma City, Evelyn Turner of Aurora, CO, Mildred LaCour of Aurora, CO, Theresa Rachel of Midwest City, OK, Phyllis Turner of Dover, OK; six brothers, Jeffrey Curtis of Denver, CO, Delbert Curtis of California, David Curtis of California, Keith Curtis of Oklahoma City, Paul Curtis of Edmond, OK and Ronnie Curtis of Las Vegas, NV; The Terrell Family and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
