Larry Gene Davis
December 1, 1945 ~ December 27, 2023

A Celebration of Life Service for Larry Gene Davis, age 78, of Enid, will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel in Enid, with Pastor Tom LeGrand of Garber Baptist Church officiating. Cremation to follow the service by Anderson-Burris Crematory.

Larry was born December 1, 1945 in El Reno, Ok, to Edwin Leon Davis and Evelyn Lucille (White) Davis and went to be with our Lord on December 27, 2023. He graduated with diploma from Enid High School in 1964 and enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, serving when needed for several years.

Larry married Barbara Sue Stephens on February 3, 1967 and made their home in Enid, Ok for 56 years. He was employed by Southwestern Bell Co/AT&T as a lineman then installation of phones in homes and businesses for 36 years.

Larry is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter LeaAnn Pickett of Oklahoma City; Darren Davis of Enid; daughter Karlena and her husband Wesley Chadwick of Enid; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister Janet Davis of Oklahoma City; one brother Gary and his wife Louciel Davis of Enid; also two nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Having grown up on a farm, Larry became an avid hunter and fisherman at a very young age and continued thru out his life; took many family vacations to the Rocky Mountains. He was an OU Sooners fan, especially Men’s Basketball, having season tickets for about 30 years.

Memorials may be made to OMRF- Diabetes Division.
