January 18, 1944 ~ January 27, 2023

David Davis of Durant, OK, passed away on January 27, 2023, In Sherman, TX. He was born in Durant, OK, on January 18, 1944, to R.C. Davis and Lorene Roach Davis. David graduated from business school and then married Brenda Carrol Johnson Davis on October 20, 1983. David served as an AF Airman; 1st class for 4 years until his honorable discharge. He then went on to become a landlord and a forklift operator. He was interested in teaching kids to weld, wood working and training dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents R.C. Davis and Lorene Roach Davis, wife Brenda Carrol Davis, brother Lloyd Davis, sister-in-law Donna Duncan Davis, brother-in-law Dillard Davis and granddaughter Nevaeh.

He is survived by his sons, Calvin Brett and Victor Ray Davis, daughters Debra Annie, DeAnn Darling and Renita Carrol Davis, sister Eunice Davis of Durant, OK; brother Charles Davis and wife Patty of Bokchito, OK; and his 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 17th, at 6 PM, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
