Davis, Delbert, Harold, 74 died on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Midwest City Hospital. Delbert was born April 4th, 1933 in Yukon, Oklahoma to George Harold and Cora Belle Davis. Delbert was one of 10 boys and he was known to help others in any way he could. He quit school in the 9th grade to help support his family.
I remember Cora telling me a story about her Mom asking Cora what she would do and how was she going to make it when Delbert went in the army. Delbert was such a big help to his family and anyone who needed it. Delbert was always there to lend a hand.
With an 8th grade education Delbert went on to become the Superintendent as a member of the Iron Workers Union and was instrumental on many, local major projects. To name a few... The Oklahoma Theater Center, Crystal Bridge at the Myriad Gardens and the General Motors Plant.
After retirement Delbert went on to be co-owner of a Concrete Plant in Nicoma Park.
