Anna Francis Davis, born September 2, 1926, in Tulsa, Ok to Joseph Henry (Joe) Estes, and Thelma Jewel Hallmark Estes. She passed away at Quail Ridge Living Center on November 4, 2021, at the age of 95 years, 2 mos and 2 days old. She lived most of her life around Watts, Ok. She ran a rooming house there for several years and worked at other jobs over the years, but her priority was her family. Her husband, O.D., suffered a stroke and Francis was his primary caregiver for 18 years before his passing in 1996.
She was a Christian lady who loved the Lord and was a great prayer warrior.
She was a wonderful cook and always made a garden each spring and did lots of canning. We all enjoyed the meals she cooked and the baking that she did. She had a great sense of humor. Even in recent days when she was so sick, she could still come up with something funny and have everyone laughing. She will be dearly missed by all she called family and friend.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Leo Stokes, and their daughter Rosalee Ann Stokes, and her second husband, O. D. Davis, two daughters, Anita Kay Davis Hartshorne and MyraL louise Davis Janes, her parents, Joe & Jewel Estes, grandparents William Allen (Bill) Hallmark and John Ann (Annie) Carter Hallmark, two brothers, Travis Eugene Estes and Bobby Joe Estes.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Sue Davis Gardenhire of Westville, OK, one son Arthur Eugene Stokes and wife Gladys of Colcord, Ok; Her cousin, Linda Jackson of West Siloam Springs, OK; 10 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren with several cousins, neices and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Service was held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 under the direction of the Roberts & Hart Funeral home.
