Donald Arthur Davidson, 92, passed away at home April 14, 2016 in Rocky Mount, Missouri. He was born in Dewey, Oklahoma on April 15, 1923 to William Arthur Davidson and Lydia Lucinda Garrett.
He was a Purple Heart Veteran of the Armed Forces in WWII and a proud American. Donald worked as a Draftsman for Boeing and a Contract Engineer for Lockheed Martin before completely retiring. Donald married Lora Kressen on September 14, 1974 and adopted her last three children-Bruce, David and Suzan. He had one biological son-Monte Dale Davidson. He loved fishing, camping, watching sports, playing bingo and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora and several siblings. Donald is survived by, sister; Colleen Barnes, children; Bruce Davidson, David Davidson, Suzan Giffin and Monte Dale Davidson. Stepchildren; Richard Baker, Ronald Baker, Robert Baker, Rodney Baker, Bernie Haselwood, Dolly Roberts, Romia Jean Hoenike, 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, KS. 67349. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Grenola, KS. No memorial has been designated.
