Memorial service for Gregory Martin Davenport, 49, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will be held at 2 p.m. Friday August 10th at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Tyrece Jefferson officiating. Mr. Davenport died on Sunday August the 5th 2012 in Oklahoma City.
Gregory Martin Davenport was born to James and Catherine Davenport on January 22nd 1963, in Germany. His sister Delease was born the exact same day a year later. Gregory grew up in Lawton Oklahoma; he graduated from MacArthur high school. He married Wynona Cain on July 3, 1984. Gregory and his family lived in Lawton and moved to Oklahoma City in June, 2000.
Gregory worked at World Water Works for the last two years. He enjoyed writing poetry, drawing, cooking for his family, and helping others. Gregory loved sports; he followed Oklahoma Sooners football, Chicago Bears, and Oklahoma City Thunder closely. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife Wynona; three daughters, Anastasia, Mariel and Zana. Other survivors include his sisters and brother, Delease Garcia, Shelia Booth and Ronald Lee Davenport (wife Rhonda); two nephews and four nieces. Gregory will be missed dearly by his family.
