Every so often, the Lord takes a young person to Heaven that just makes us wonder if they needed a soul with a high fun factor to shake things up a bit. That's certainly the case with Soroosh Y. Davani, 31, a wonderful husband, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew, and godfather began enjoying his eternal reward December 25, 2010, after his courageous fight with a rare form of cancer.
It's hard not to crack a smile when thinking about Soroosh, even in this time of intense sorrow. Soroosh was the first of Mohammad and Soroor Davani's three children. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, February 8, 1979, he attended Eisenhower Elementary, Central Mid High, and then graduated from Norman High School in 1997. He was an amazing violinist, honor student, and soccer player. Soroosh received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2001, from the University of Oklahoma, and then his Juris Doctorate in Law, in 2005 from Arizona State University.
Soroosh joined the Sorrell Law Firm in 2005 with his focus on Trust and Estate Planning. He opened his private practice, Davani Law, PLC in February, 2010 and was proud to be known as, "The Estate Planning Firm That Comes to You." His passions in life were his wife Rosemary, spending time with his family and friends, his sweet dogs, Shah & Bebe, golf, poker, playing the violin, hunting, spending time in nature, and watching OU football.
Soroosh is survived by his soul mate, Rosemary L. Roberson, with whom he met in July of 1998, at the University of Oklahoma. It wasn't long before they were inseparable. Soroosh will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his parents Mohammad and Soroor Davani, Norman, OK; his siblings: Sawmon Davani, Cave Creek, AZ; Sogoal Davani, Norman, OK; and his God daughter Yasna Bigdely, Edmond, OK.
The family wishes to thank Soroosh's amazing medical teams both in Scottsdale, AZ and in Baltimore, MD. These health professionals took a chance and gave us three more years of happy memories.
The family asks that you consider donations to Soroosh's Medical Expense Fund (Bank of America) or Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation (http://www.pmpcure.org/donate). Envelopes will be available at Soroosh's celebration.
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR BLACK. Wear bright colors to honor and celebrate our loving Soroosh's life.
SOROOSH DID NOT LOSE HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER. HE WON HIS BATTLE WITH LIFE BY LIVING HIS LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
Soroosh's Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel (3401 Havenbrook St. Norman, OK 73072).
