Dr. Richard Glenn Darby
August 2, 1954 ~ May 11, 2018

Dr. Richard Glenn Darby, age 63, died peacefully in his home on May 11, 2018. 

He was born in OKC, OK where he attended Northwest Classin High School, and later graduated from OU Medical Center in Norman, OK. He worked as an Anesthesiologist for Stillwater Medical Center for 20 years, 6 years in Muskogee, OK, and the remainder of his career as Chief of Anesthesia for St. Mary's Regional Hospital of Enid. He was a devoted physician, husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all. 

In addition to enjoying his work and family, Darby was an avid reader and video game player. He referred to himself jokingly as "Zombie Hunter". 

He is survived by his wife, Carey Darby; two married sons, Jeffrey Darby (Pamela}, and Jonathan Darby (Emily). There are five grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose 11, Joanna Marie 6, Sebastian Alexander 5, Kevin Liam 3, and Lillie Allison 8 mo. In addition, a loving Mother-in Law, June C. Parsons.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Strode Funeral home to be donated to St. Mary's Regional Hospital SURGERY SERVICES.
