Ethel "Jackie Mae" Daniels, age 93, of Lawton passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her residence. 

Jackie Mae was born on February 17, 1924 in Summit, Mississippi to McKinley and Tommie (Johnson) Porter. At an early age, she accepted Christ and began her work. On April 1, 1945, Jackie Mae married Charles W. Daniels Sr. in Magnolia, Mississippi and they would spend the next sixty-three wonderful years together.

In 1964, her and her husband bought a brand-new house in the Ranch Oaks Addition. From here, they raised their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. On May 23, 1984, Jackie Mae attended the graduation of her grandson, Lawrence E. Marshall, at the United States Naval Academy. She always wanted to witness the throwing of the hats, it was a dream come true. In 1997 on Thanksgiving Day at the home of Mark and Venessa Daniels, she fulfilled a dream of every quarterback when she threw the winning touchdown, with overwhelming odds, as she played football with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Tommie Porter; three children, Charles W. Daniels Jr., Ronald M. Daniels and Henry Daniels and one great-great grandchild, Kaiden Jackson,

Jackie Mae is survived by seven children, Patricia A. Marshall and husband Arnold Sr. of Austin, James R. Daniels and wife Charlie Mae of Midwest City, Billie C. Daniels and wife Aletha of Kennedale Texas, Gwendolyn Miles of Lawton, Janet M. Daniels of Austin, Mark A. Daniels and wife Vanessa of Mansfield Texas and Jessy R. Daniels and wife Annette of Austin; one daughter-in -law, Helen Daniels, wife of the late Ronald M. Daniels; sixteen grandchildren, Arnold Marshall Jr. and wife Taffye, Lawrence Marshall, Pamela Trachtenberg and husband Richard, Michael Taplin and wife Tanny, Derlonzo Daniels, LaToya Daniels, Shalonna Grissom and husband Willie, Inia Daniels, Jacqueline Davis and husband Anthony, Jennifer Daniels, Aleika Daniels, Dominick Daniels, Ricardo Martinez, Magen Martinez, Khalia Daniels and Zarian Daniels; twenty great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and three special friends, Pinkie Collie, Catherine Smith and Dr. Cheryl (Lisa) Monts along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
