Irma Jewell Danford
June 21, 1925 ~ January 15, 2023

 Irma Jewell Danford, who was called Jewell by her family, died January 15, 2023, in Denver, CO, at the age of 97 of natural causes. She was born on June 21, 1925, to Henry Clay Dixon and Mary Zone "Kittie" McCamant in Marland, OK.

She graduated from high school in Lamont, OK. She was married to Jack DeWayne Danford on May 24, 1942, in Pond Creek, OK. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing in 1995.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Danford and daughter Tammy Danford, her parents and three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Doyle Danford; daughters, Darla Danford, Connie Freggiaro and Sally Davis; grandchildren, Alvin Meyer, Wendy Logan, Sydney Feggiaro and Cally Feggiaro; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and William Logan.

She was an amazing woman who raised five children. Her relatives ran the Cherokee Strip and settled in Oklahoma. She spent the last half of her life in the Eastern Colorado rural communities of Watkins and Strasburg. Jewell had a strong faith. She was an avid reader, loved to play cards and games. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs.
