Jon Lee Dailey was born September 14, 1939 at Pawnee, Oklahoma to John Lee Dailey, Sr and Ova (Nash) Dailey. Jon grew up in and around Perry, Ok and Redondo Beach, California graduating from Redondo Union High School.
Jon joined the Air Force after graduating and was stationed at Roswell, New Mexico until discharge. Jon was a carpenter most of his life and while in Oklahoma worked for the Otoe Missouria Tribe doing carpentry work for the tribe until he and his brother, Claude, started building houses in and around the Stillwater and Oklahoma City areas.
Jon and his wife Betty love to travel and spent time in Leadville and Denver, Colorado as well as the Philippines and Hawaii. They had also traveled extensively to much of the United States and were in Texas for a number of years before returning to Oklahoma to make their home.
Jon loved music, Bar-B-Que, pool, chickens, and fishing but most of all loved his collection of semi-precious stones with his favorite being fire agates. Jon made jewelry during the last years of his life and would sell his jewelry in Oklahoma, Arizona, Texas and Nevada. He loved going to Quartzite, Arizona and being a part of the rock show that happened there each year.
He and Betty were both sick and were under the care of Karman Hospice in Stillwater. Jon was preceded in death by Betty Dailey, one infant son, his father John Lee Dailey, mother Ova Nash Dailey, sister Marlene Dailey and brother Danny Dailey, niece Johnna Kaye (Arnett) LeForce and nephews Jeffrey Don Arnett and Claude Darren Dailey.
Jon is survived by his brother Claude Dailey, nieces Marilou and Terri, Patsy and Deloyce, nephew Chip Rhind, sister Sylvia Joyce Arnett, nieces Michelle Arnett and DeAnne Cook and nephew Frank Arnett.
Jon Requested that there be no memorial service or dinner after his passing. The family is going along with his wishes. Jon wanted his cremains scattered with Betty’s and the family will see that this is done in the spring.
