A Celebration of Life Service for Elva “Jolene” Custer, 85, will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2:30 PM a the Keatley Family Chapel at the Commons.
Jolene was born at Carrier to Elva and Jake Koehn on August 31, 1936. She attended school at Carrier where she graduated in 1956. She then moved to Enid where she lived and worked. Jolene eventually moved to Colorado then to California for a few years before moving back to Colorado, where she lived for many years. She married Charles “Chuck” Custer on May 25, 1978. Over the course of their life together Chuck and Jolene enjoyed traveling, sailing, and flying (since Chuck was a pilot) to many places, and they experienced many other great adventures together. She moved back to Enid in 2016 after Chuck’s death, where she reconnected with many friends and family.
Jolene was preceded in death by both parents, Elva and Jake Koehn, one brother, Melvin, four sisters, Obera, Elvera, Bertie, and Belva, and her husband, Chuck. She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, along with many friends. She will be greatly missed.
