Russell Eugene Curtis, 62, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 30, 2017.
Russell was born on March 10, 1955 to Russell Eugene and Beatrice Curtis in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Beatrice later remarried Jack Daniels.
He attended high school at Vernon High School in Vernon, TX, but graduated during his enlistment in the Army. He served his country in the United States Army 1973-1978. Married Deborah Nava in 1974 and had four children from that union: Michael, Cody, Nicky, and Christina. He later married Janice Curtis on July 25, 1983 and raised his three stepchildren: Gina, Tessia, and Travis White
In 1988, Russell received his Associates Degree in Accounting from OSU Okmulgee. He continued serving his country as a member of the Army National Guard from 1986-1988. He was employed as a delivery driver for the last 26 years until illness caused him to stop working in March 2017.
Russell loved fishing, watching old Westerns, reading the daily newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, and cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was a beloved grandfather, husband, father, and friend.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents Russell, Sr. and Beatrice; his stepfather, Jack Daniels; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Evelyn and Harold Dill; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Max and Wanda Due; and his best friend, JR Irwin.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Curtis; his brother, Gary Curtis; sisters Julie Rouse and Carol Blakely; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Tarrah, Kahlyah, Elijah, Keaton, Owen, and Judah; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
No services are currently planned at this time.
