Bobbie Jean (Alley) Curtis
April 10, 1934 ~ July 1, 2012

Bobbie Jean Alley Curtis a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away in Denison, Texas on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the age of 78. She was born on April 10, 1934 to Lesley and Ruth (Fry) Alley in Durant, Oklahoma.

Bobbie Alley married J.C. Curtis in Durant, Oklahoma on March 20, 1953. Bobbie lived most of her life in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and the Keenagers. Bobbie attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She dedicated herself to her job as a secretary at the Sooner Petroleum Company for 40 years. Bobbie enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. But most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by her husband, J.C. Curtis of the home; daughters, Leslie Webster and husband Tim of Durant, Oklahoma and Laurie Curtis of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Les Alley and wife Carole of Itasca, Texas and Larry Alley and wife Eileen of Hereford, Texas; grandsons, Brody Webster and wife Casey of Conklin, New York and Austin J. Curtis Stallings of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kerry Collins and husband Paul of Caney, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Kirsten Collins of Caney, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her parents, Lesley and Ruth Alley.

An informal family night will be held at the Curtis house, Tuesday July 3, from 6:30-8:00 P.M.

A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Rusty Shuler and Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.

The Curtis family suggests that donations may be made in Bobbie's memory to the First Baptist Church, 124 W. Evergreen, Durant, Oklahoma 74701.
