Arthur Pishny Curl
January 16, 1938 ~ January 14, 2021

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Arthur Pishny Curl will be held at a later date, due to Covid-19. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Arthur was born January 19, 1938 to Oliver and Marguerite (Pishny) Curl in Blackwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life with his family by his side January 14, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Arthur graduated from Lamont High School in 1957 and was known as “Mr. Wonderful”. He attended college in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. In 1964 he served in the United States National Guard as a Field Communications Chief stationed in Florida. On June 17, 1960 he married Shirley Still in Avon Park, Florida. Arthur and Shirly moved to Deer Creek, Oklahoma in 1963. They raised two children- Teresa and Art Curl. For the last 18 years, they have lived in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Arthur was a hard worker with a passion for gardening, hunting, and fishing. He passed these passions onto his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Most importantly Arthur was a Christian and showed how to love every day of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; daughter Teresa Curl; son Art (Lynn) Curl, Five grandchildren, Cody (Lauren) Curl, Samantha (Brian) Flowers, Melandie (Bob) Mills, Troy (Shanda) Schuermann, and Nicole (Rob) Thomas; fourteen great-grandchildren, Aiden, Spencer, and Nolan Curl, Olivia, Maxwell, and Colin Flowers, KaLanne and Devan McKee, Jessica and Tanner Tate, Teague Schuermann, and Jayce and Rilyn Thomas; three brothers, Kenneth, Charles, and Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Serving and Custodian of the funds.
