Richard Wayne Cupp
October 7, 1968 ~ April 13, 2022

Richard W. Cupp, 53 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Woodward Church of Christ. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Richard Wayne Cupp was born on October 7, 1968 in LaJunta, Colorado to Harry Robert (Bob) and Karen Marie (Toney) Cupp. Richard grew up in Canon City, Colorado and graduated from Canon City High School. He was united in marriage to Heather Curtis on June 1, 1996 in Liberal, Kansas. They made their first home in Guymon before living in Hooker and they moved to Woodward in 2000. They were blessed with two sons, Brennon and Bryant.

He worked for Pope Distributing for 20 years and then went to work as a Wind Tech for Next Era Energy in 2016. Richard enjoyed camping, shooting, fishing, gardening, carpentry and anything outdoors. His greatest love was his family and he enjoyed every chance he got to spend with them. He especially loved being a Poppa to his grandson Everett.

He is survived by his wife Heather Cupp of the home; two sons: Brennon Cupp and wife Schylar of Elk City, Bryant Cupp of Pratt, Kansas; his father Bob Cupp of Canon City, Colorado; one grandchild, Everett Cupp; two brothers: Robert Cupp and wife Patty and Rusty Cupp and wife Tanna all of Canon City, Colorado; other relatives and many friends. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Cupp.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Center with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
