He was married to Barbara A. Trout on March 6, 1955 until her passing on January 31, 2005. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1957. Scott went to work for Roadway as a city driver in 1959. He retired January 1994 after 35 years of service. Scott then went to work for the Teamsters where he worked as an organizer, lobbyist, and as a business agent at Lodge 886. Scott was born again in 1958 and was filled with the Holy Ghost and now his life is with the Lord. Scott married Jane Cunningham on March 10, 2007 and they made their home in Kingston.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara, sister Delores Howell, brother in law Bill Howell, and daughter in law Orrana Cunningham.

Scott is survived by his wife Jane L. Cunningham of the home, son Ronald Scott Cunningham, daughter Debora A. Puckett and husband Allen, three grandsons Chris Puckett, Michael Puckett, and Trevor Cunningham, six great grandchildren, stepson Rickey Lawrence, stepdaughter Patricia Prater, eight step-grandchildren.

Scott left two messages for his family;
I am really proud of my grandsons; they are not children but grown men. Also my son Ronald and daughter Deborah A., my daughter in law Orrana, and son in law Allen Puckett. I hope to see them again.

All My kin folk, and friends will always be in my heart. I would mention their names, but it would take a lot of pages. I know they know I love them.

Gathering of remembrance will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service.
