Richard Lloyd Cunningham, 48, of Blanchard, died Saturday, August 5, 2017, in Oklahoma City. The son of Linda Sue (Dennis) and Robert Marshall Cunningham, III, he was born December 4, 1968, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Richard graduated from Bethel High School and then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University. Throughout his life he worked various jobs in construction, and was most recently employed as a project manager for Delta Environmental Services Company in Oklahoma City. He was a Christian in faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, raising and showing hogs, and helping his grandfather sell produce at the Norman Farmers’ Market. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel Cunningham and Robert Cunningham, II.
Richard is survived by one son, Joshua Cunningham of Alabama; his mother, Linda Peters and her husband, Jack of Blanchard; his father, Robert “Buddy” Cunningham, III, and his wife, Brenda, of Texas; his wife, Cynthia Parsons, and her daughters, Aubrie and Alyssa, who Richard loved as his own, all of Blanchard; one brother, Randy Peters of Madill; his grandparents, Fern and George Dennis of Blanchard; aunts and uncles, Roberta and James Straight, Donna and Slick Jervis, and Hal and Toni Dennis; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
