Martha Belle (Keaton) Cunningham was born February 21, 1928 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Monroe and Julia (Doss) Keaton. She went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at her home in Chandler at the age of 95.
Martha married John L. Cunningham on September 26, 1945. They were married 74 years before John passed away in 2019. They owned and operated a dairy farm between Chandler and Davenport until 1967 when they moved to Chandler. Martha worked for Deiner Mills Factory, for the County Assessor’s Office, and for Redland’s Office during the 1970’s and 80’s. She attended the Nazarene Church in Davenport and volunteered at The Clothes Closet where she oversaw matching and pinning together the socks and gloves from the age of 93 until her passing.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Bob, Dennis and Bill; 4 sisters, Ruby, Louise, Marie and Katherine; along with 3 stepbrothers, Duane, Verne and Gene Ross. Survivors include her children, John Lee Cunningham and wife Sharon, Gloria Cunningham Sawyer; 5 grandchildren, Justin Cunningham (Pefy), Scott Cunningham (Michelle), Tony Cunningham (Susan), Mandy Sawyer (John), Matt Sawyer; 4 great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Thalia, Hailey and Jackson Cunningham; great-great grandson, Deacon Cunningham; half-brother, Billy Bob Keaton; half-sister, Judy Keaton Coberly; along with other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. November 11, 2023 at the Nazarene Church in Davenport. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
