Allan Ray Cunningham, 76, of Norman, OK, passed away on Saturday July 13, 2013 in Norman OK. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday July 15, 2013 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman, OK. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday July 17, 2013 at Covenant Church Chapel, Carrollton, TX with Pastor Richard Spencer officiating. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Arlington, TX.
Allan was born August 5, 1936 in Lubbock, TX to Rudolph and Francis Cunningham. He attended and graduated from Lovington High School in Lovington, NM and earned an Associate Degree from New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, NM. He also attended Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, TX. He served in the United States Army from 1959-1966 in Fort Hood, TX. Allan married Catherine Osborne on April 20, 1984 in Midland, TX. He worked 26 years for Shell Oil Company and retired in 1991.He was also on staff at Covenant Church as a pastor in the counseling department from 1996 through 2008. He was a member of Journey Church, Norman, OK.
Survivors include wife, Catherine Cunningham of Norman; sons, Grady Cunningham and wife Abby of Lubbock, TX and Brian Cunningham and wife Diane of Granbury, TX; grandchildren, Camron, Carli, Haley, Brady and Kelly; step-son Coby Osborne and wife Tara of Wimberley, TX; sister, Rita Gaines; nephews, Jaron and Jeremy; step-son, Tracy Osborne and wife Jill of Rockwell, TX; step-grandchildren, Cade, Mia, Deaven, Megan, Courtney and Jackson and step-great granddaughter, Delilah.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Musella Cancer Foundation, 1100 Peninsula Blvd, Hewlett, NY 11557 or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements for Allan Ray Cunningham and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
