Sevelta Jean (Hileman) Cummins

???? ~ May 10, 2013 | Age 82

Sevelta Jean Cummins, 82, of Mars Hill passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

A native of Lookeba, OK, she was a daughter of the late, Leslie and Loraine Hileman. She was a graduate of Lookeba High School and attended Oklahoma A & M College. She was a member of Beach Glen Baptist Church in Mars Hill and was a prior member of Bible Baptist Church in Enid, OK. Working side by side with her husband, she retired from the family business of Cummins Sportsman Center in Enid, OK before moving to North Carolina less than two years ago. Among many of life's enjoyments, she was an avid reader, traveler, horticulturist, fabulous cook, and devoted Christian.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by a son, Jeffery Cummins.

Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years, Bud Cummins; son, Gregory Kent Cummins of Little Rock, AR; daughter, Nita Louise Gammon of Mars Hill; brother, Jimmy Hileman of Colorado; sister, Leta Beth Evans of Carnigle, OK; six grandchildren, and ten wonderful great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 Pm on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Beach Glen Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Benton officiating.
