Roger Cummings

Roger Cummings
May 2, 1958 ~ February 4, 2023

Durant, OK- Roger Cummings was born Friday, May 2, 1958 in Austin, Texas to Billy Albert Cummings and Mildred Oleta (Steward) Cummings. He passed from this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Durant at the age of 64.

Roger grew up and graduated from Grand Prairie High School at Grand Prairie, Texas. After graduation, Roger worked for Sears for a short time before working in construction the rest of his life. He was a hard worker, working his way up from being a Foreman at an young age to a Superintendent. Roger had worked for RPM xConstruction for several years.

Roger married Lisa Best on May 8th, 1995 in Arlington, Texas. Roger loved to ride bulls and horses, going on cruises, and hunting. He enjoyed watching bull riding on television and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved being with his family and he loved his many dogs especially Sage.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son Joshua Comola; brother Robert Cummings; sister Billie Sue Peterson; and nephew Randal Crowder.

He is survived by his loving wife Lisa of the home; son Alex Martin; daughter Lisa Marie Cummings; grandchildren Tiffany Cummings, Jonisun Comola, Jace Comola, and Danika Wiggs; a great- granddaughter Jocelyn Comola; sisters Margaret Barrick and her husband Darrell and Barbara Crowder and her husband James Beam; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11th, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Darren Scroggins officiating.
