Michael Dale Cummings
July 6, 1954 ~ April 24, 2016

Michael Dale Cummings was born July 6, 1954 in Bussac, France to Earlene Juanette and Raymond Charles Cummings. He passed away April 24, 2016 at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 18 days.

Michael grew up in Europe and moved with his family all throughout southern California. In 1973 he moved to Elk City to be closer to his parents and eventually found employment in the oil field. He worked for various companies but was with Parker Drilling the longest.

Michael was married to Sharon Kay (Marshall) Cummings at Duncan, Oklahoma on January 6, 1983. After their marriage they made Elk City their home and raised their children. Michael enjoyed fishing, camping and working on old cars but his true passion was working in the oil field and he took great pride in that.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Eliska Chelsea Cummings.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; 3 daughters, Melissa Cummings, Michelle Cummings and Jo Ellen Marshall, all of the home; 13 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 2 brothers, David Ray Cummings and wife, Mercy and Charles Lee Cummings and wife, Melody, all of Elk City, OK; 1 sister, Janet Sue Williams, Denver, CO and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
